Board Retreat This Saturday! (May 7th)

Anyone available to go? It looks to be some of the training that SACs is requiring. I really dislike that Dickerson is doing the media training. While he may know his stuff, perhaps having someone with no prior relationship to the board would have been more impactful. Additionally, I think it is throwing bad money after good to even do this. Our board members have shown repeatedly that they don't think rules and regulations and policies apply to them or really each other. If anyone goes, please be sure and send a summary to the blog. Thanks!

We had a blog post ready in the queue about the fact that the magnet lotteries were going to be held next Thursday -- behind closed doors - by a few staff people at the palace.

Now - according to Maureen Downey at the ACJ, the leadership has changed their minds and will hold the lottery for the public to witness. Good decision.

On second thought: DeKalb will hold its magnet lotteries in public
